cinema

These are 2 movies i have seen last week. You can recognize where Hurt Locker
comes from. There's Hollywood in every single shot which obvious deslikes me.
But the movie also assumes war, from a soldier point of view, as a game and
specially as an addition. I'm not a war movie buff or anything but i think this might
be the first time war is showed like this. I liked that, it made me think.

The music room is in a all different league. It was my first Satyajit Ray's movie ever,
himself Kurosawa's "buddy". He's considered the best Indian movie maker. The mo-
vie is, in fact, very beautiful and poetic and it was clear to me it touched deep Indian
society issues. There is obvious much much more to say about this movie, which i
totally recommend.

to start with...

photo @ Susanna ray (susannahray.com), from The Right Coast Series.

Days ago i found this picture. I was completely mesmerised since the first minute i saw it for the resonance with the work i have been doing in scandinavia. I had a better look at the work from new york based photographer Susanna Ray which gladly has nothing to do with mine, quite different actually. Still, i thought it was a great picture to start my photography blog...
